Department is a design-led coffee and lifestyle concept operating across three locations in Manchester, including Campfield House, Bonded Warehouse and XYZ. Bonded is currently being renovated and looking to reopen on the 16th of November with a completely new look and offering.


Rooted in specialty coffee, Department focuses on calm, considered spaces designed to work throughout the day. Coffee is central to the offer and is roasted by Allpress Espresso, with a menu balancing well-made classics alongside seasonal and speciality drinks. Alongside this, we’re developing a fresh, produce-led food offering, with vibrant seasonal salads, an ever-evolving deli counter and a focus on great ingredients, bold flavours and simple, well-executed dishes. Pastries and food are prepared in-house, with fresh juices pressed daily. We’re looking for a passionate and creative Chef to bring this offering to life.


The Role


This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Chef de Partie. You will share our commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience and take real pride in ensuring quality and consistency of every dish produced.


You will

  • be fully responsible for your section ensuring quality and consistency of food during all stages of production;
  • participate in the HACCP procedures according to the company’s Food Safety Management System;
  • have a 'can do' approach and a willingness to undertake a range of kitchen tasks, including food prep, when required.

You will love working with fresh ingredients from around the world and learning new processes and techniques. An excellent Team player will to share your skills and experience with others. You will have previous experience of working within a similar role and environment and be keen to learn and progress.
