This is a varied, hands-on role, working closely with our HR Manager and supporting managers and employees across our hospitality venues. You'll be involved in all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, training, HR systems and employee wellbeing.

The Role

No two days will be quite the same! You'll be supporting our operational teams with day-to-day HR matters, helping to ensure our people processes run smoothly and providing practical, consistent HR guidance across the Group.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of employment matters.
  • Supporting employee relations processes, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance and probation reviews, escalating complex or high-risk matters to the HR Manager.
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes, including employment documentation, references and right-to-work checks.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and supporting the day-to-day administration of our HR systems, including Nory, Talent Funnel and Flow Learning Management System.
  • Monitoring mandatory training, probation reviews and other key HR compliance requirements.
  • Supporting payroll processes, ensuring employee information and changes are recorded accurately and on time.
  • Preparing HR reports and monitoring key people metrics, including absence, employee turnover and training compliance.
  • Supporting employee wellbeing, engagement and learning and development initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline HR processes and systems.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the people strategy

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy, people-focused environment and is comfortable managing a varied workload.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Previous experience in an HR Adviser or similar generalist HR role.
  • A good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters and advising managers.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence using HR information systems and digital platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently, knowing when to escalate more complex matters.
  • A professional, discreet approach to handling confidential information.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or above, or equivalent practical HR experience.

Experience within hospitality, retail or another fast-paced, multi-site environment would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to gain broad HR experience within a diverse hospitality group, working closely with an experienced HR Manager and supporting a range of exciting hospitality brands.

You'll be joining a collaborative team where you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day HR activities, contribute ideas and make a genuine difference to the employee experience.
