Department is a design-led coffee and lifestyle concept operating across three locations in Manchester, including Campfield House and the XYZ Building. Rooted in specialty coffee, Department focuses on calm, considered spaces designed to work throughout the day. Coffee is central to the offer and is roasted by Allpress Espresso, with a menu that balances well-made classics alongside seasonal and speciality drinks. Pastries and food are prepared in-house, with fresh juices pressed daily.

At Campfield House, the food offering extends into an all-day brunch and lunch menu, featuring dishes such as eggs on toast, benedicts, full breakfasts, sandwiches, salads and simple comfort-led plates designed to suit both casual visits and working days. The XYZ location follows the same approach, with a daytime coffee-led offer that transitions into a later service, including wine, cocktails and beer.

Across all sites, interiors are intentionally pared back and functional, with an emphasis on design, process and everyday utility. Department attracts a broad mix of guests, from local regulars and remote workers to city-centre visitors, creating spaces that feel purposeful, welcoming and lived-in.
